The pregnancy announcement comes just one day after the reality TV star and his model ex-fiancee Raiven Adams announced that they had called off their two-week engagement.

AceShowbiz - Breaking up is something that many people usually mourn over, but Bear Brown and Raiven Adams don't have the time for that. Just one day after announcing that they had called off their engagement, the exes revealed on Thursday, September 12 that they are currently expecting their first child together this spring.

Brown and Adams shared the happy news to PEOPLE, with the "Alaskan Bush People" star saying, "Even though we're no longer together, we're still friends and dedicated to raising a healthy and happy child. Raiven will be an amazing mom and I will work my hardest to be the best dad I can be! Family is everything to me, and we appreciate everyone's support as we figure out our new normal."

On the other hand, Adams shared her excitement over raising the child together with Brown and showed her determination to bear all the pregnancy hardship that's coming her way. "Being in the earlier stages means a lot of sick and sleepless nights. That's okay because you are for sure worth it!" The model added, "Pregnancy is no joke! I'm not sleeping much and I'm pretty sick but still feeling very blessed."

The pregnancy announcement came just a day after the former couple announced that they had called off their two-week engagement. As for the reason for the breakup, Brown admitted that they had been better off as friends rather than a couple, adding, "I will always wish the best for her in life."

Adams recently gave more details about their breakup on her private Instagram account, recalling how Brown knew she was "100% gay" and they first hung out as friends. They then decided to date and see where "it would go," but ultimately realized that they are way too different from each other. "We didn't want the same things, and that being with a male wasn't right for me," she wrote.

She continued, "Bear wasn't very good at relationships, and mostly because he hadn't had one before me. And anyone who's dated 9/10 your first love is never your last, because you have to learn lessons in life. And learn lessons in relationships to become the person you need to be good in a relationship." Ending her lengthy statement, Adams said she had "no doubt" that Brown would one day be great for someone and she would be supportive of that.
