Although Jodi Montgomery has been appointed as the 'Toxic' hitmaker's conservator, Jamie Spears has not relinquished control over her investments, business deals, income and expenditure.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' father Jamie still holds control over the singer's estate - despite reports suggesting her longtime "care-giver" Jodi Montgomery has taken over his duties.
According to TMZ, there are two conservatorships in place surrounding the "Toxic" hitmaker - one for her estate and one for her wellbeing. And while Jamie temporarily relinquished control over his daughter, he is still ensconced as the conservator of Britney's estate, meaning he has total control over her investments, business deals, income and expenditure.
Jodi took over a portion of Jamie's duties on Monday, September 9 and on Tuesday she filed legal papers to extend the control of the conservatorship to states outside California.
She also wants control over the Womanizer star's affairs in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Michigan, among others, according to The Blast.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported Jamie is having ankle surgery and will have to rest for 10 weeks, explaining why he sought to relinquish a portion of his responsibilities.
Next week, the judge in the conservatorship case will get a critical report from a court-appointed evaluator, who will determine his effectiveness in the role, and decide whether he should continue. It comes after the singer's father was barred from having any contact with her sons, 13-year-old Sean and 12-year-old Jayden, following an alleged violent incident last month.
