Replacing Jamie Spears as the 'Toxic' hitmaker's conservator, Jodi Montgomery files legal papers to have a hold on her affairs in such states as Louisiana, Florida, Massachusetts and Hawaii.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' new conservator has spent her first day on the job fighting to extend her reach.

The singer's longtime "care-giver" Jodi Montgomery has taken over from Britney's dad as the pop star's official welfare guardian after he asked a judge to let him step down for the rest of 2019 and focus on his health.

She landed the gig with the Spears family's blessing on Monday, September 9 and on Tuesday she filed legal papers to extend the control of the conservatorship to states outside California.

She also wants control over Britney's affairs in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Michigan among others, according to The Blast.

The "Toxic" star's father, Jamie Spears, recently filed similar documents while he was serving as his daughter's conservator.

Jodi has already been given the power to "limit visitors by any means, provided that (Jodi) shall not prevent (Britney) from meeting with her court appointed attorney," according to the legal terms of her new position. She also has the power to retain around-the-clock caretakers and security guards for Britney. She will also take care of Britney's "medical treatment, diagnosis, and testing."
