AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey has been around in the music industry longer than some Super Bowl headliners like Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Bruno Mars, so the fact that she has never ever headlined the event just made her fans demand for her to be the headliner even more. They have created several petitions to NFL to tap the singing diva to do the show for several years, and despite their continuous fail, they never give up and do it again.
One even directly tagged NFL in a tweet and wrote, "Hey @nfl why don't you get a diva whose career spans over three decades for the show this year? That's right, let's see @MariahCarey at the #halftime show in 2020." Another said, "I will only forgive you if you pick Mariah Carey as the Super Bowl headliner." Mariah herself expressed her interest to do the show back in 2018 when asked whether she would ever perform at the annual football event. She replied at the time, "I would love to!"
