During a recent interview with Variety, the new Bruce Wayne depicter made a comment about 'Joker' star Joaquin Phoenix before asking the interviewer to retract it due to it being a spoiler.

AceShowbiz - Robert Pattinson has sparked a speculation that his Batman will crossover with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. The British actor recently conducted an interview with Variety in which he talked about his Batman casting, but an unpublished part of the interview has left everyone curious about what's in store in DC Extended Universe.
During the conversation, the 33-year-old made a comment about Phoenix, who plays Batman's iconic villain in the Todd Phillips movie, but asked writer Ramin Setoodeh to retract it because it contained spoiler. Setoodeh wrote about their exchange, "At one point in our conversation, he offers a mundane comment about Joaquin Phoenix, who stars in 'Joker' (a movie he hasn't seen yet), before asking to retract it."
Setoodeh went on recalling, " 'Oh s**t,' he says, adding that he's not accustomed to thinking about spoilers. 'I definitely should not say that. I'm so used to pretty art-house movies, where you can watch the movie three times and still not know what it's about.' "
It's unclear what Pattinson said about Phoenix. But since it's noted that he hasn't seen "Joker" yet, many assume that the spoiler isn't about the Joker movie, but possibly about him teaming up with Phoenix in an upcoming movie.
Meanwhile, in the published interview, the Cedric Diggory of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" described the moment he first tried on Batman's suit. "I remember saying to Matt (Reeves, the director), 'It does feel quite transformative!' He was like, 'I would hope it does! You're literally in the Batsuit'.' "
He also talked about fans' reaction to his casting. While people were divided, with some asking to have him recast, Pattinson said the response was better than he expected. "To be honest, it was less vitriolic than I was expecting," he said with a laugh. "It's much more fun when you're an underdog. There's no expectation of you."
Pattinson's "The Batman" movie is scheduled to arrive on June 25, 2021, while Phoenix's "Joker" will open in the U.S. on October 4.
