Weighing in on the 'Will and Grace' stars' latest Twitter feud with the President, the 'Seinfeld' actor elaborates in an interview with News Headquarters why he is 'embarrassed' for both of them.

AceShowbiz - "Seinfeld" actor John O'Hurley has slammed "Will & Grace" stars Debra Messing and Eric McCormack after they called on U.S. President Donald Trump to out the stars attending his upcoming Emmy Week fundraiser.

Debra, who plays Grace in the U.S. sitcom, tweeted that the President should name and shame those making an appearance at the event, insisting, "The public has a right to know."

Eric, who stars as Will in the programme, then backed up his co-star, adding, "Kindly report on everyone attending this event, so the rest of us can be clear about who we don't wanna work with."

Following their tweets, John, who has worked with Debra in the past, admitted he's "embarrassed" for her and Eric during an interview on America's News Headquarters on Monday, September 2.

"I think they have the bully pulpit right now to say it out loud," he mused. "I don't think it (Trump support) permeates Hollywood to the degree that you think it is. I think there is a nature among liberal thinkers to form packs, to form groups, whereas the conservative mind is basically an individual, and they're tougher to find."

"Let me just say I'm embarrassed for both of them because I know them both, I've worked with Debra before. They're both smart people... they do wonderful work. But, they're pushing a case that falls apart from the sheer weight of its lunacy, as though the Hollywood community needs to be purged of this social and intellectual hygiene problem called conservative thinking. It underscores the fact that we aren't receptive to a diversity of thought which is the exact opposite of what you feel the liberal way would be, and I find that obscene."

Adding that it's "very difficult to be a conservative in Hollywood", John explained, "Even though there are many of us, you do feel you are an island fighting the storm."
