AceShowbiz - Apparently, John Travolta wasn't the only one who couldn't tell Taylor Swift and her drag queen double Jade Jolie apart. The "RuPaul's Drag Race" alum revealed to New Now Next that the supermodel thought she was Taylor on Monday night, August 26 after a couple of drinks at the 2019 MTV VMAs after-party.

During the interview, Jade said Gigi was apparently only one among others who confused her with the "ME!" singer. "Well, funny enough, when when we were walking in the back [during the VMAs], where it's mainly dancers and stuff, I got tired of saying, 'No, I'm not her,' so I just started hugging people! 'So nice to meet you, too!' " shared Jade, who starred in Taylor's award-winning music video for "You Need to Calm Down".

"And at the after party Gigi Hadid kept thinking I was Taylor--they're really good friends," she recalled. Jade then came to a conclusion that alcohol really played a big role in how many times she was mistaken as Taylor. "The drunker we got, I guess the more Taylor I became for everyone!" she added.

Before Gigi, John Travolta made a flub while presenting the Video of the Year prize to Taylor as he was caught trying to give the award to Jade, who joined the singer and other music video co-stars onstage, instead of Taylor. According to Jade, Taylor thought it was hilarious and suggested her to just accept the Moonman. "She was tickled, and thought it was so funny. She joked and was like, 'You totally should have went for it [accepting the VMA from him]!' " shared Jade.

John himself addressed his VMA mix-up while appearing on Dallas-Fort Worth radio station Hot 93.3 on Thursday, August 29. The 65-year-old actor insisted he "was looking for" the "Shake It Off" star amid the chaos, as there were "so many people that bombarded the stage." The "Grease" actor said, "The video has me trying to find her, and you know, I thought it was so funny the way it was interpreted. And it's cool, I didn't care."

He also joked "it would have been awesome" had he handed the award to Jade, and that he "should have just gone all the way with it."
