AceShowbiz - Police officials have launched an investigation into a "suspicious" death at the "Burning Man 2019" festival in Nevada.

Authorities at the Pershing County Sheriff's Office have taken the body of 33-year-old Shane Billingham in for an autopsy at the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office after he was found dead during the event in Black Rock City on Thursday (August 29).

Billingham was pronounced as deceased in a medical tent on site.

Cops tells local news station KTVN the circumstances around his death are suspicious, but officials have not yet released further details.

The "Burning Man" event, which has been attended by A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio and Diplo in the past, is still ongoing. The annual gathering kicked off last Sunday (August 25) and runs until 3 September.
