Alfred Jackson, who became the first family member to speak about the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker's death in 2016, is believed to have died of natural causes at the age of 66.

AceShowbiz - Prince's half-brother and heir, Alfred Jackson, has died, aged 66.

Jackson, who shared the same mother as the tragic music icon, passed away at his home in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday morning.

Police officials believe he died of natural causes.

Jackson hit the headlines following his younger brother's death in April 2016 when he became the first family member to speak about the tragedy.

He said, "I miss my brother because my brother was everything in the world to me... He's a legend, he really is."

The money he received from Prince's estate enabled Alfred to buy a new home.
