In order to solve this issue, he decided to buy everyone the popular sandwich.
In a video that has been circulating online, Tristan was seen putting his card down as he offered to pay for everyone's order after they had been waiting for more than 30 minutes. Besides the random act of kindness, the Cleveland Cavaliers star also let people take pictures with him at the restaurant. "OK so wtf my dad goes to 1 Popeyes, meets Tristan Thompson and he buys everyone in the restaurant a chicken sandwich," one Twitter user wrote, along with a photo of his dad and Tristan.
However, several people turned his kindness into a bit of a joke, poking fun at the backlash that he received over his past infidelity. "He said maybe if I buy everyone a sandwich they'll stop roasting me, lol," one joked. "Tristan Thompson thinks everyone forgot he a cheater cuz he bought them chicken sandwiches at popeyes," another said, as one other wrote, "They got Tristan Thompson in Popeyes and someone commented 'he only there for the sides.' "

The hype for the new menu apparently was so intense that it's now sold out in just two weeks since its nationwide debut on August 12. Announcing the news on Tuesday, August 27 through a statement, the company promised to bring back the new menu soon.
"We, along with our suppliers, are working tirelessly to bring the new sandwich back to guests as soon as possible," the statement read, adding that those who want to be notified when they return to stores should download the Popeyes app and "sign up for push notifications."
