Less than a month after her boyfriend Channing Tatum ditched social media to 'get inspired and create again,' the 'Domino' hitmaker reminds others that Instagram 'isn't real life.'

AceShowbiz - Singer Jessie J has followed boyfriend Channing Tatum's example and announced a social media break.

The actor recently told fans he was exiting Twitter and Instagram to "get inspired and create again", and now his girlfriend has followed suit.

"For the record I'm OK. Happy, healthy and sane," Jessie wrote on Saturday, August 24. "People often presume to come off Instagram you are going through some s**t. Actually it's the opposite. Im in such a good place that I want to respect and nurture that looking up and not looking down (sic)."

"Instagram is fun, but it isn't real life. I'm off to write a new album."

She added: "Telling just the people who support me. Love you all. Be back soon. Refreshed and refuelled and ad-libbing OBVIOUSLY (Also try and instagram cleanse every once in a while - it can do you no harm)."

Jessie also shut down social media in January to deal with some "unexpected heavy personal stuff".
