Samuel Nicholas III has filed a lawsuit against the 'Hotline Bling' hitmaker and collaborator Big Freedia for allegedly sampling a portion of his 2000 track 'Roll Call'.

AceShowbiz - Drake is being sued by a New Orleans musician alleging he stole the beats for his songs "In My Feelings" and "Nice for What" from his tunes.
Samuel Nicholas III, known professionally as Sam Skully, has filed a lawsuit accusing Drake and collaborator Big Freedia of sampling a portion of his 2000 track "Roll Call" for their collaboration "In My Feelings". He claims that he published his tune on a CD released in New Orleans back in 2000, but had no idea that the beat had allegedly been taken by the pair until he heard their song in the charts. In the documents, obtained by TMZ, Skully states that he wasn't contacted by Drake or Freedia to ask for permission to sample "Roll Call", nor was he offered any money for the sample.
The musician has also accused Drake of using his work in his tune "Nice for What".
Skully is suing for damages, and is also going after record companies Asylum Records, Cash Money Records and Republic Records in the suit.
Drake has yet to comment on the allegations.
