Keanu Reeves to Reunite With Carrie-Anne Moss in 'The Matrix 4'

Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich has announced that Lana Wachowski has signed on to write, direct and produce the fourth installment of 'The Matrix' film.

AceShowbiz - Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity in a new "The Matrix" movie, written and directed by Lana Wachowski.

Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich announced the big news on Tuesday, August 20, revealing the film trilogy's director is also producing the project.

"We could not be more excited to be re-entering 'The Matrix' with Lana," he said. "Lana is a true visionary, a singular and original creative filmmaker, and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in 'The Matrix' universe."

"The Matrix", "The Matrix Reloaded", and "The Matrix Revolutions" - released between 1999 and 2003 - have earned more than $1.6 billion at the global box office, according to Deadline.
