Throwing a subtle jab at the Roc Nation founder over his partnership with the league, the former quarterback sends his support to his friends Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson II and Eric Reid who never moved past kneeling.

AceShowbiz - Colin Kaepernick isn't taking any of Jay-Z's explanation and excuse for his NFL deal. The former quarterback has seemingly thrown shade at the rapper for partnering with the league, which has banned Colin for three years after he led a protest against racial injustice and systematic oppression in the country by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem prior to games in 2016.

The 31-year-old, who has never been hired after leaving the San Francisco 49er for free agent in 2017, is seemingly taking aim at Jay-Z for saying that NFL has "moved past kneeling." He took to Instagram on Sunday, August 18 to urge his friends Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson II of Miami Dolphins, as well as Carolina Panther's Eric Reid to continue the protest.

All three players continue to kneel during the national anthem after Colin started it. "My Brothers @e_reid35 @kstills @ithinkisee12 continue to fight for the people, even in the face of death threats," Colin wrote. "They have never moved past the people and continue to put their beliefs into action. Stay strong Brothers!!!"

Previously, Colin responded to Jay-Z's NFL deal by showing his support to his longtime friend Eric Reid, who slammed the hip-hop mogul for "burying Colin's career" by forming a partnership. "Jay-Z NEVER took a knee," Reid tweeted on Thursday. "He sacrificed NOTHING. In truth, he is actually capitalizing off of Kaepernick's loss."

Agreeing with Eric, Colin replied, "You never turned your back on me or the people, even when the nfl tried to silence your voice & the movement. You've never flinched or wavered. I love you Brother! Let's get it! @E_Reid35."

He added, "And to the people - I see you, I hear you and I love you! Thank you for having my back!!"

While Rihanna has also appeared to take Colin's side, the likes of Cardi B and DJ Khaled have shown their support to Jay-Z. "I feel like Jay-Z could bring back Colin Kaepernick," Cardi told TMZ. She continued, "I feel so. I feel like he has that power. I think that he could make a change. I don't think he'd go on an NFL deal without an agreement. I feel like he went in there like, 'All right, if you guys want me to work with y'all, y'all need to put my peoples in there.' I feel like he's gonna change it."

DJ Khaled, meanwhile, said, "Shout out to Jay-Z and everything he's doing. He's always showing love, and always uplifting the people, and always moving the culture forward." Admitting that he hasn't talked to the co-owner of Tidal after Jay-Z signed the deal, he added that he's only looking to share"love, positivity, and good energy."
