AceShowbiz - The first-look photo at "Game of Thrones" prequel series "Bloodmoon" has found its way out online. The photo, which was taken from the upcoming show's top secret set in Italy, featured star Naomi Watts donning her mysterious character's extravagant costume.

Shared by a fan on Instagram, the pic saw the Australian star's character, who is described as "charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret," sporting a gold dress. It looked like her dress was similar to those worn in Greek mythology. Except for a brief look at the costume, nothing much could be obtained through the photo as HBO has done its best to keep the plot and characters of the show tightly under wraps.

One thing that is known about the prequel is that it will be set 5000 years before the events of the original show, way before the predate Valyria, where House Targaryen raises their dragons, exists.

"Westeros is a very different place," author George R.R. Martin, who will serve as executive producer and co-creator of the new pilot series, previously explained. "There's no King's Landing. There's no Iron Throne. There are no Targaryens -- Valyria has hardly begun to rise yet with its dragons and the great empire that it built. We're dealing with a different and older world and hopefully that will be part of the fun of the series."

The prequel pilot "chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros' history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East, to the Starks of legend... it's not the story we think we know."

While Targaryens won't appear on the new show, Martin most recently hinted that the Starks would be featured in one way or another. "The Starks will definitely be there," he told Entertainment Weekly. "Obviously the White Walkers are here - or as they're called in my books, 'The Others' - and that will be an aspect of it. There are things like direwolves and mammoths."

In addition to Watts, "Bloodmoon" will star Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson and Jamie Campbell Bower. The cast also includes Toby Regbo, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Naomi Ackie, Marquis Rodriguez, John Simms, Richard McCabe, John Heffernan and Dixie Egerickx.
