AceShowbiz - Yung Miami and her unborn baby are fortunately safe after she was targeted in a drive-by shooting, though it might leave her traumatized. The one-half of City Girls has been recorded explaining what happened during the incident when baby daddy Southside rushed to be by her side.
In a video that has been circulating online, Miami could be heard recounting the incident to the 808 Mafia producer, "They just started shooting. They had the lights off so I never saw them. Whoever it was, they kept the lights off. I don't know where they came from." The female emcee also stated that the suspects were shooting at her several times from behind.
"It came from behind. The shots were shot from behind me," she continued explaining. "They shot it from behind me because when I got to the stop sign, I said, 'Oh s**t, somebody shooting.' The first shot hit the f***ing spare tire thing, and then I don't know how the shots came through on the side."
She later took to Instagram to thank her fans for the support. "Thank you, everyone for your expression of sympathy, prayers & condolences. Me and baby summer are perfectly fine," she said on the social media site.
Miami was leaving Circle Hour Studios in her red Mercedes G-Wagon when the shooting occurred on early Tuesday morning, August 6. The Miami-Dade Police Department later confirmed the story to BET, revealing that the "Act Up" rapper's vehicle was shot at "multiple times" near the intersection of NW 135th Street and 1st Avenue in North Miami.
"Our detectives are working any and all possible leads that they have," officer Angel Rodriguez said to the site. "We have no suspects right now."
