Her sister Pumpkin reveals on Instagram that the former 'Dancing with the Stars: Junior' contestant will be a high school freshman soon, writing, 'Where has the time gone?'

AceShowbiz - Time does fly so fast! It feels like yesterday that people saw Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson playing around like a child she was, and before people could even realize it, the reality TV star is now a high school freshman. Her sister, Pumpkin, shared the exciting news on her Instagram page.
Posting an image of Alana flashing a big smile in front of the camera, the mother of one captioned the picture, "Well everyone my little sister/ daughter is going to be a freshman in high school starting tomorrow morning. Where has the time gone? So excited to be going through this big adventure with you love you bunches Atlanta."
Many people apparently felt the same as Pumpkin, expressing how shocked they were to see Alana growing up so fast before their eyes. "Oh my gosh, seems like yesterday I first watched her on toddlers and tiaras! Time seriously flies!" one said, while another couldn't keep calm and exclaimed, "High school?!?! HOW did this happen?? Time flies." Someone else wrote, "Already!? Wow time does fly so fast! You're such a great big sister."
"Ummm how in the world did that happen!!! Good lord time has flown," an individual wrote, as one other said, "How can little Honey Boo Boo be in high school already?! Good luck Alana." Meanwhile, one person said s/he is "not ready for this!!" There was also one who said, "Wow, already? She's growing up so fast! Good luck on your first day Alana!"
Alana has been living with Pumpkin ever since her mom Mama June a.k.a. June Shannon was arrested for crack cocaine possession with her boyfriend Geno Doak. According to reports, Pumpkin is actng as the "de facto guardian" to her sister, who has made it clear that she will not step foot back into June's house until Geno makes his exit.
