Hours before news broke out that the 'Fashion Killa' hitmaker had been charged with assault, his fellow A$AP Mob member sent out words of gratitude to fans from the jailed rapper.

AceShowbiz - Rapper A$AP Ferg insists his pal A$AP Rocky is in "good spirits" and just wants to "get home" as he languishes in a Swedish jail (July 25).

The hip hop star has been behind bars for almost four weeks following his arrest after an alleged assault in Stockholm last month, but his close friend insists Rocky is OK after reports suggested he was being held in awful conditions.

"I spoke to my boy and he's in good spirits he just wanna get home," Ferg wrote on social media. "Waiting on that court date to see wassup. He sends his love! Thank y' all for all your support."

Ferg added: "This s**t is really annoying honestly because it really don't make sense to me. But I'll let God work the way he works. Everybody keep your prayers up for my boy."

However on Thursday Swedish prosecutor Daniel Suneson said in a statement he has filed charges against the artist and two others, "having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defence and provocation."

Rocky and two other defendants will remain in custody until trial. The Stockholm District Court is yet to set a date for the proceedings. Earlier this week (beg July 22), Swedish officials dropped charges on one of the men involved in the street spat.
