The 'Battleship Island' actor and the 'Encounter' actress' divorce is finalized without going to court after they agreed on a divorce without alimony or division of property.

AceShowbiz - Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are officially single again now. The former Song-Song couple is legally divorced, less than a month after news about their separation broke on media and shocked their fans.

The Seoul Family Court finalized the settlement on Monday, July 22 at 10 A.M. KST at a closed-door meeting. The divorce seemed to be going on smoothly without any drama, since both sides came to an agreement during the meeting, without having to go court.

Sharing details of the divorce, Song Hye Kyo's agency UAA released a statement which read, "Hello, this is UAA. Today, July 22, 2019, Song Hye Kyo's divorce was finalized at the Seoul Family Court. The mediation was conducted by both sides and the divorce was completed, without any alimony or division of assets and property."

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo announced their separation on June 27, a day after the "A Werewolf Boy" actor filed the divorce papers. He said in a statement at the time, "First, I'd like to apologize for delivering this unfortunate news to the many fans who love and care for me. I have begun the process of filing for divorce from Song Hye Kyo. Rather than denouncing one another and arguing over who is to blame, I hope that the divorce process can be wrapped up amicably."

Song Hye Kyo's agency confirmed it in its own statement, saying, "We find it unfortunate that we are greeting you with unhappy news. After careful consideration, actress Song Hye Kyo and her husband are taking the first steps toward a divorce." It additionally revealed that the two stars' "differences in personality" caused the split. "...and because the two were unable to overcome their differences, they were forced to come to this decision," the agency explained.

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo began secretly dating after starring on "Descendants of the Sun" (2016) together. They announced their engagement in July 2017 and got married on October 31, 2017. The 33-year-old actor has since moved out of the house that he previously shared with his ex-wife and lives with his family, while the 37-year-old actress has moved into a luxury villa in the UN Village, one of Korea's richest communities.

Song Joong Ki has been busy filming his new tvN drama series "Arthdal Chronicles", while Song Hye Kyo has been spotted attending promotional events overseas.
