Television Academy officials have determined that the series does not meet the minimum required run time, eliminating Jonathan Banks from the run for the Outstanding Actor category as well.

AceShowbiz - The producers of hit TV drama "Better Call Saul" and actor Jonathan Banks have been stripped of their Emmy Awards nominations.

Television Academy officials have declared "Employee Training: Madrigal Electromotive Security" isn't eligible for the Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama honour, for which it received a nod on Tuesday (July 16).

The Academy bosses have determined the series does not meet the minimum required run time of two minutes for at least six episodes, and therefore, "both the short form program and Jonathan Banks' performance in the short form program are not eligible to compete" for 2019 Emmys.

"This decision is in no way a diminishment of the quality of Better Call Saul Employee Training or Mr. Banks' performance in it," a statement reads.

As a result, Sundance TV's "State of the Union" will replace the "Better Call Saul" nod in the Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama category, and Ryan O'Connell becomes a nominee on the Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series shortlist for his role in Netflix's Special.
