Recording Academy president Neil Portnow announces that the 62nd Grammy Awards will mark Ken Ehrlich's 40 years as executive producer before he is replaced by Ben Winston.

AceShowbiz - The man whose bust-up with Ariana Grande led to the pop star boycotting the 2019 Grammys has been confirmed as the executive producer of next year's ceremony.

Ken Ehrlich will take charge of the 62nd Grammy Awards, marking 40 years as the big show's mastermind.

"Ken's imprint on the Grammy Awards and the music industry are well-known and represent the kind of work and vision that legends are made of," president/CEO of the Recording Academy Neil Portnow says. "Having worked closely with Ken for almost half of his tenure with the show, I have seen first-hand the vision, extraordinary musical knowledge, and passion he brings to every minute of the process, and the spectacular results and memorable Grammy Moments that have been delivered. It's an honour to celebrate his 40th anniversary with the Grammys."

Next year's show will be Ehrlich's last as executive producer - he will be replaced by Ben Winston for the 63rd Grammys in 2021.

"To have been a part of the growth of the Grammy Awards into the preeminent music awards show of our time has been one of the highlights of my professional life," Ehrlich says.

He famously fell out with Grande in February, days before the 2019 Grammys after they clashed over the songs she wanted to perform during the ceremony.

The pop star was so upset she pulled out of the show.
