During the interview, the 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' star, who got out of jail earlier this month, goes on saying that she's been living a sober life following her struggle with alcohol.

AceShowbiz - Tommie Lee has broken her silence on child abuse charges which sent her to jail for some months. The "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star detailed the scandal and what happened the day she was allegedly attacking her own daughter at her school, claiming that she was just trying to disclipine her misbehaving child.

Speaking to Hello Beautiful, the TV star denied the January reports which stated she drunkenly "bashed" her 11-year-old daughter's head into a school locker. "Everything in that report was untrue," said Tommie. "I took her hoodie and I jacked her up against the locker. Physical abuse is the last form of punishment for children in my household."

She went on saying that she actually has "a good relationship" with her daughter. "I can count the times I had to be physical with my children on my hand because I could take their phone or put them on punishment," she detailed.

Things changed when her school contacted her to tell her that the child, who was an honor roll student, began getting in trouble at school. Tommie revealed that her daughter had gotten ahold of edible marijuana treats and distributed them her classmates. It was also said the some students were rushed to the hospital because they were high.

"I'm scared as hell," Tommie said. "Nobody said anything for a while then I got a letter in the mail from the police that the state was charging my daughter." Not stopping there, Lee later received a call that her daughter was once again misbehaving.

The VH1 star then recalled what her mother used to do to discipline her. She remembered her going down to her campus and physically disciplined her in front of her classmates, and that was what she did to her daughter earlier this year. However, her action made her end up inside the bar for child abuse charges.

During the interview, she went on saying that she's been living a sober life following her struggle with alcohol. "I wouldn't consider myself an alcoholic," she divulged. "I've gone to rehab. I've been 4 months sober now."

Tommie was released from jail on the Fourth of July, with her family throwing a welcome home party for the reality TV star. She took to her Instagram account to share a short clip of her inside a car seemingly on her way back home. She looked all glam in a plunging white-and-red outfit and a matching veil. "So thankful," she wrote in the video.

Another video saw her family and friends welcoming her at a party. The words "big sis home. celebrationns," flickered on the screen. Tommie, whose real name is Atasha Jefferson, later came to the screen before flashing a smile at the camera.

"I pray she comes home and focus on rebuilding herself and her relationship with her children," an Instagram user wrote in the comment section under The Shade Room's post. "Now don't get locked up again," another one added.
