When asked to further address the media interest surrounding their breakup, the 33-year-old model points out that it is human nature to be curious over what you cannot have.

AceShowbiz - Irina Shayk still believes in marriage despite her split from husband Bradley Cooper.

The 33-year-old model opened up about her high-profile breakup from the "A Star Is Born" actor/director in a cover interview for Harpers Bazaar Digital Summer Issue.

The brunette beauty and Cooper started dating in early 2015, and became parents to two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine in March 2017. And while news of the couple's split broke last month, the model insisted her views on marriage haven't changed.

"Do I believe in marriage? Yes, of course," the notoriously private star said. "I'm not the kind of person who is against it."

Shayk and Cooper went to great lengths to keep their romance out of the headlines, and neither spoke about the other in interviews. But regarding the interest in their split, she shrugged: "I think it's just human beings: if you cannot have it, you want to have it. There's a curtain there, you want to open the curtain. It's curiosity I guess."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Russian model also opened up about her approach to parenting.

"You have to be really truly yourself for your kids, otherwise you're living in a lie," she said. "Tell me one reason why, just because you're a mother, that you need to wear a longer skirt. No! I don't believe in that. I really don't."

"Why should you have to change who you are and how you feel just because you become a mother? I'm like, tell me why."

Shayk also insisted she doesn't comprise her look for modelling agencies either, adding: "If you really love you for who you are, I think you can do anything."
