AceShowbiz - An internal affairs investigation has been opened by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) into the aftermath of rapper Nipsey Hussle's murder in March (2019).
The decision to open a probe into the case was prompted by grand jury testimony, which showed the woman who drove Eric Holder, the man who allegedly shot and killed Hussle, from the scene, had turned herself into the 77th Street station after seeing her car on the news. However, after arriving at the station, the woman was turned away by a front desk officer, who told her: "Don't worry about it. Don't listen to the news."
She was later able to speak to detectives investigating the murder.
Holder, who has pleaded not guilty, was indicted on charges of murder, attempted murder and various other felonies on May 9.
The LAPD's Office of the Inspector General confirmed on Monday that an internal affairs investigation is underway.
