Caitlyn Jenner's third son defends his younger brother after Brody enraged people for referring to their transgender father as 'he' multiple times on the newly revived 'The Hills'.

AceShowbiz - While the reunion of "The Hills" cast was obviously the highlight in the first episode of MTV's "The Hills: New Beginnings", viewers couldn't help noticing that Brody Jenner falsely referred to his transgender father Caitlyn Jenner as "he" instead of "she." People later took aim at Brody for misgendering his father and lashed out at him on Twitter.

Now Brandon Jenner has spoken up in defense of his brother. Appearing on Channel Q Radio's "Let's Go There", the 38-year-old urged people to chill out and show compassion instead of hatred while dealing with the issue.

"Accidents happen and people slip up and you shouldn't shame them for it. There's not an ill intention," so he claimed, saying on behalf of his younger brother. Brandon went on asking people to "teach through encouragement" instead of "tearing somebody down" despite Brody's mistake.

In the premiere episode of "The Hills: New Beginnings", Brody talked about Caitlyn who shared the same name with his wife Kaitlynn Carter. "My dad, he also became a woman - don't want to forget about that one. I had been dating Kaitlynn Carter for four-and-a-half years, and my dad came out and said that he wanted to be called Caitlyn. Two Caitlyns...," he exclaimed.

Those angry Twitter users commented on Brody's misgendering, with one writing, "Brody Jenner remains a pile of trash + seems to really enjoy purposely misgendering Caitlyn Jenner." Another added, "Brody talking about Caitlyn yikes #TheHills."

Brody himself has not responded to the criticism, while Caitlyn may not have any problem with her children referring to her as "he." She previously had conversations with her kids, including Brandon, and allowed them to keep calling her "dad."

"By no means am I an expert on the subject. I only have my own personal experience, and in my own personal experience, this was a conversation I had with my dad, which was, 'You can still call me 'Dad.' ' There's a part of me that relates to being your father at one point in my life, and you can still call me 'Dad,' ' Brandon said. He added, "So that's the understanding that we have with each other, which makes sense, so I think that that's correct."

Brandon's half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner also continue to call Caitlyn their dad. "Happy Father's Day my little light of sunshine. 'You can still call me dad, Kylie. No matter what I'm always going to be your father. That's never going to change,' " Kylie revealed in an Instagram post back in 2015.
