AceShowbiz - Even celebrities can get nervous when meeting someone like Rihanna, and that includes Lizzo. The up-and-coming rapper recently admitted to E! News that the Barbadian songstress is the one and "only" artist who intimidates her.

Recalling the time when she performed onstage at the 2019 BET Awards, Lizzo expressed how glad she was to not be able to spot Rih in the audience because if she could, she "would've been a little bit more nervous" than she already was. In fact, the "Juice" spitter assumed that Rih went to the bathroom to "take a pee pee" while she was onstage.

Lizzo said of the "Don't Stop the Music" songstress, "She the only person that I be like, 'I'm intimidated by you.' You know what I'm saying? Like no one else in that audience, I imagine them all in their underwear but it's like Rihanna, I was imagining her naked." Singing her praises for Rih, she added, "Rihanna is incredible, it's like I've always wanted to be friends with Rihanna. Like, who don't want to be friends with Rihanna?"

For her performance at the 2019 BET Awards, Lizzo appeared in white atop a giant wedding cake, surrounded by dancers with bouquets of flowers in hand. She started off her performance in a wedding dress before ripping it off to reveal a lacy one-piece underneath. At one point, the "Truth Hurts" rapper pulled out her flute and started playing it while twerking onstage. Rihanna was seen in the audience giving her a standing ovation as she jammed along.

Talking about the moment in an interview with Variety, Lizzo noted that "it was so cool," adding, "When I finished and she was standing there clapping, I was like, 'What?' I haven't met her. I didn't talk to her. For me, it still feels like a GIF on Twitter."
