Patience Carter, a survivor of the 2016 Pulse Nighclub shooting, thinks that the 60-year-old Queen of Pop is not calling an end to gun violence in the 'right way.'

AceShowbiz - Madonna was trying to advocate for gun control when she recently released her music video for "God Control". But rather than receiving praises from people, the Queen of Pop faced backlash as some people believed that she was just glorifying gun control, while some others thought that the scenes in the music video were just too horrifying to watch.

For those who need a remainder, one scene saw a gunman opening fire in a club while another scene featured her alter ego Madame X being shot and killed on the dancefloor, surrounded by her blood-spattered dancers. At one point in the clip, a children's choir was seen singing in a church as the coffins of all the shooting victim were lined up end to end in the aisle.

Even though Madonna had given a warning in the beginning of the video, that didn't stop people from criticizing her. "The new Madonna video is quite on the nose no? Glamourising club shootings? Sure," one said. "Do you think you owe the world an apology for glorifying guns all these years making them look sexy and using them to sell records?" another asked.

Patience Carter, a survivor of the 2016 Pulse Nighclub shooting, on the other hand, admitted that it was really hard for her to watch the music video. "As a survivor of gun violence, it was really hard to watch. I don't think that was right the way to go about doing it because for someone like me, who actually saw these images, who actually lived these images again, dramatized for views, dramatized for YouTube, I feel like it was really sensitive," she said in a video obtained by TMZ.

She went on saying that the music video was "mostly accurate" in depicting what she "lived through" on that day of the incident, when 49 people died. Patience additionally warned fellow victims not to watch "God Control" music video.

Madonna has yet to respond to the backlash as of now.
