After the 'Come and Get It' singer revealed that the photo-sharing site makes her depressed, Adam Mosseri invites her to get in touch with him to have conversation over the matter.

AceShowbiz - Instagram boss Adam Mosseri is "disappointed" Selena Gomez has deleted his company's app from her phone after confessing she's sick of the photo-sharing site.

The "Come & Get It" singer, who is one of the most followed Instagram users in the world, revealed she shut down the app during a recent appearance on a radio talk show - to save her sanity.

"It's just become really unhealthy, I think personally, for young people including myself, to spend all of their time fixating on all these comments and letting this stuff in, and it was affecting me," she said.

"It would make me depressed. It would make me feel not good about myself, and look at my body differently, and all kinds of stuff."

And in a new interview with the BBC, Mosseri has responded to her snub, stating, "She has over 100 million followers, it's a whole other world."

"We need to make sure that creators like her are getting value out of the platform, that they don't get depressed by the platform."

Mosseri also invited Selena to get in touch with him, adding, "We like the criticism, we like to have the conversation."
