The actor known for his portrayal of Michael Oher in 'The Blind Side' first broke the news that he had sought medical help for an undisclosed issue through a video he posted on his social media account.

AceShowbiz - Actor Quinton Aaron has been hospitalised for a serious upper respiratory infection.

"The Blind Side" star took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 18 to reveal he was seeking medical help for an undisclosed issue, although he assured fans he was OK.

"I'm gonna be good, a couple of health issues just popped up on my radar and I'm currently in hospital, but everything is all good, nothing to worry about...," he said in a video clip. "I will be back 100 per cent...".

He captioned the vague post, "Matters of the Heart! I Appreciate the love and prayers and continue to have faith that it's all gonna be ok (sic)!".

Now it's been revealed that Aaron, 34, had been feeling ill for a "couple months", but when his health failed to improve, he decided to check into a hospital.

On Monday, doctors discovered his blood pressure was high, and had him admitted for an overnight stay for further tests.

"I thought it was a regular cold but I couldn't shake it...," he told TMZ, "but then they (medics) ran some tests, did some blood work, and they told me that I had an upper respiratory infection and that my bronchitis had flared up again."

Aaron is expected to be discharged from the hospital later on Wednesday.
