Susan Silver, the first wife of the late Soundgarden frontman, and their daughter have demanded a cut of his estate following his tragic death, but Vicky Cornell is seeking to dismiss their requests.

AceShowbiz - Chris Cornell's widow and ex-wife are fighting in court over the late singer's $20 million (£16 million) estate.

Vicky Cornell recently filed a petition to administer the Soundgarden star's estate following his suicide at the age of 52 in May 2017.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, she listed the sole beneficiaries of Chris' last will and testament, which was signed in 2004, as herself and the Cornell Family Trust.

Vicky stated she believes his estate is worth more than $20 million.

However, the singer's first wife Susan Silver, and their daughter Lillian, headed to court demanding they also get a cut of the estate.

Susan claimed she is owed child support, and also believes she should receive a percentage of Chris' royalties.

Both want accounting of the estate to determine how much they are owed, but Vicky has objected to both claims and is seeking to dismiss them.

Susan and Lillian alleged that Vicky – who shared daughter Toni and son Chris with the former Audioslave frontman – has been trying to settle their issues outside of court.

For the past year, Vicky has attempted to seal portions of the court record, arguing her family has been subjected to disturbing hatred following Chris' death two years ago.
