Despite being sacked twice by Simon Cowell, the former Pussycat Dolls leader and the entertainment manager are reportedly in advanced discussions to return as judges on the talent show.

The talent show is set to undergo a total overhaul, with members of the general public being scrapped in favour of celebrities who are competing for a mega record deal, according to U.K. newspaper The Sun.

Nicole and Louis are in advanced discussions to make a surprise comeback to "The X Factor", after being sacked by head judge Simon in 2017.

The panel will be slashed to just three members, and the trio will be judging a line-up of celebrities who will bid for the public votes.

"The Only Way is Essex" star Gemma Collins, "Britain's Got Talent" judge Amanda Holden, "Love Island" host Caroline Flack, reality star Megan McKenna and actor John Barrowman are reportedly in talks to take part in the show, according to The Sun.
