WWE Diva Rochelle Loewen hints that the former WWE Superstar died of suicide as she posts on Instagram that Ashley was 'in pain' before her sudden passing.

AceShowbiz - Ashley Massaro died on Thursday, May 16, but no cause of death is given so far. Now speculation emerges that the former WWE Superstar possibly took her own life as one of her friends posted about depression and suicide after Ashley's sudden passing.

WWE Diva Rochelle Loewen shared on Instagram a photo of Ashley and friends. Seemingly regretting that she couldn't help the professional wrestler-turned-reality TV personality, she wrote in the caption, "Dear Ashley, when you said you were in pain. Maybe I didn't understand to which extent."

"You were supposed to be here in Vegas on this girls trip (which I'm on right now)," she continued. "We spoke yesterday. You said you were coming. Now. Now. Now, you're gone. I'm at a loss. I don't know how to prosess this quite yet. I miss you Ashely. I miss you already babe. We spoke no more than 24 hours ago." Rochelle added the hashtags, "#imsorry," "#ididntunderstand," "#depression," "#suicide" and "#careforyourfriends."

Another friend and wrestler Bull James also hinted that Ashley was struggling with her inner demon before her death as he tweeted, "This sucks. Ashley just started training at NYWC & was SO excited about wrestling again. Always had a smile on her face & was one of the most down to Earth people you could meet. If you're going through tough times, don't be afraid to reach out for help. RIP Ashley Massaro."

Ashley was found unconscious at her home in Smithtown, New York in the early morning hours of Thursday. Officials administered CPR on the way to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arriving at the hospital. She was 39 and is survived by her 17-year-old daughter Alexis.

Her death is currently under investigation, but police believe that no foul play was committed. The Suffolk County Police Department PIO tells HollywoodLife.com, "I can confirm that she has passed and has died and that she was 39 and that she was from Smithtown but I can not confirm any other details because we don't have them. And since it was considered a non criminal death we will not have them. We normally don't release that info for non criminal deaths."

Ashley competed in "Survivor: China" in 2007 and appeared on the covers of several magazines, including the April 2007 issue of Playboy. She retired from the WWE in 2008, but began to prepare for a comeback in professional wrestling in 2017.
