Being the first person to visit the WikiLeaks founder in prison, the former 'Baywatch' actress pleads for public support as she expresses deep concern that her friend won't survive extradition.

AceShowbiz - Pamela Anderson fears her friend Julian Assange won't survive extradition to the United States.

The actress visited the WikiLeaks founder in prison on Tuesday, May 07 and she's now gravely concerned for his safety now he no longer has the protection of officials at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London.

Appearing on TMZ Live, the former "Baywatch" star said, "I don't think he'll survive (extradition)... I'm really deeply concerned about him."

"We need all the public support we can (get). We're talking about saving somebody's life."

And Pamela is imploring supporters and the media to keep Assange in the public eye, adding, "It's really urgent and it's really important that people really know who he is and that we don't allow him to be extradited, because I don't believe he'll be safe in America's hands."

"We need to keep him in the public eye, we need to keep talking about it."

Assange was forcibly removed from the Ecuadorean Embassy in the U.K. last month after the country withdrew his asylum.

United States leaders have accused Assange of conspiring to hack a classified Pentagon computer. He is currently under lockdown in the U.K.'s maximum security Belmarsh Prison after lawmakers sentenced him to 50 weeks behind bars for violating bail and taking up an offer of asylum in the Ecuadorean Embassy in 2012 while facing extradition to Sweden to face rape charges.

Speaking to reporters after becoming the first person to visit Julian in prison on Tuesday, Pamela said the trip had been "shocking" and "difficult," adding, "He does not deserve to be in a supermax (maximum security) prison. He has never committed a violent act. He is an innocent person. He is a good man, he is an incredible person. I love him, I can't imagine what he has been going through."

The "Baywatch" star is a longtime supporter of Assange and met the controversial former fugitive several times during his self-imposed exile in Ecuador's London embassy, which lasted for almost seven years.
