The 'Boardwalk Empire' actress was rushed to hospital after an associate called 911 and claimed 'an emotionally disturbed person' needed help as she reportedly locked herself in a room on Sunday.

AceShowbiz - Paz de la Huerta, who came forward with sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein in 2017, was hospitalized on Sunday, May 5. Law enforcement sources confirm that the actress was rushed from an Upper West Side building to an area hospital around late afternoon after an associate called 911 to report that "an emotionally disturbed person" needed help.

The "person" is question was allegedly Paz. The 34-year-old, who is best known for her role as Lucy Danziger on HBO's period drama series "Boardwalk Empire", allegedly locked herself in a bedroom. According to TMZ, the 911 caller wanted NYPD to respond so she could get medical attention.

After cops and EMS arrived, Paz was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Law enforcement sources additionally say the 911 caller stated that the actress was suicidal.

An attorney for Paz, however, downplays the suicidal report. "She's fine. The Weinstein mediation has just been another setback and irritant. It was an episode of depression or upset, and I think perhaps blown out of proportion," Aaron Filler tells Page Six.

He goes on explaining the incident, "The episode last night is best characterized as a dispute - with some overreaction. I was not there and I don't have all the details, but I believe the hospitalization was unnecessary. There was no assault, there is no police complaint."

Paz, who also starred in a number of films including "The Cider House Rules" (1999), "A Walk to Remember" (2002), "Choke" (2008), "Enter the Void" (2009) and "Nurse 3D" (2013), claimed in the wake of the Me Too movement that former movie producer Harvey raped her on two separate occasions in 2010. She reported the alleged rape to police in 2017 and the New York District Attorney’s Office was considering bringing charges against Weinstein.

While criminal charges have not been filed yet in Paz's case, the disgraced movie mogul has been charged in New York with the rape of another woman. In November last year, Paz filed a $60 million lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court accusing Weinstein of raping her in 2010 and then embarking on a campaign of harassment that she contends damaged her career.
