The 'In Da Club' hitmaker is challenging the 'Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood' star's claim which states that she missed a court hearing over their ongoing legal battle due to her grandfather's funeral.

AceShowbiz - 50 Cent is seeking an additional $25,000 (£19,000) from singer Teairra Mari after she failed to pay up in their ongoing legal battle.

"Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Mari sued 50 last year (2018), accusing the "In Da Club" hitmaker of re-posting a graphic image of herself from a sex tape purportedly leaked onto her social media page by her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad.

She claimed both men had tried to "slut-shame" her, and demanded compensation for invasion of privacy and emotional distress, but she lost the court fight and in November, Mari was ordered to hand over $30,600 (£22,800) to cover 50's legal fees.

She has since failed to abide by the ruling, and even missed a court date for a financial examination last month, prompting the Los Angeles judge overseeing the case to issue a warrant for her arrest.

The judge eventually decided to put the warrant on hold until another hearing set for the coming weeks, after Mari's lawyers claimed they had been trying to postpone the court appearance as their client was due to attend her grandfather's funeral.

However, 50 isn't buying Mari's excuse, because he alleges she was sharing posts on social media about shooting a music video on the date in question.

As a result of having to continually chase the singer for his money, he has now filed legal papers asking the judge to award him more cash for his troubles.

In documents obtained by The Blast, 50, real name Curtis Jackson, alleges Mari has made "blatant efforts" to avoid paying up, and accuses her of publicly mocking the court's ruling, highlighting a T-shirt she is selling online bearing the words, "FXCK THE LAW," and another stating, "I Ain't Got It (sic)".

The judge has yet to rule on 50's request.
