The Duke of Cambridge responds to a fan's inquiry about when Meghan Markle will give birth to her and Prince Harry's first child in a joking manner during a royal event.

AceShowbiz - Prince William was in good spirits during his visit to Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday, April 27. The Duke of Cambridge responded to a fan's inquiry about sister-in-law Meghan Markle's due date in a joking manner during the recent royal engagement.

In a video which had been shared on Instagram, a woman could be heard asking the father of three, "Any signs of the royal baby?" William responded while laughing, "I haven't got my phone on me. I have no idea!"

The 36-year-old royal went on adding, "You guys will find out before I do at this rate!"

Reports previously suggested that Meghan was expected to give birth to her and Prince Harry's first child on Sunday, April 28. The Duke of Sussex, meanwhile, left his wife's side to attend the London Marathon on the same day.

The 34-year-old was seen in in high spirits as he posed with runners and ambulance team members at the event.

Prince Harry and Meghan's unborn baby will join other royal babies including Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The latter just turned one on April 23. The little royal's uncle and aunt, Prince Harry and Meghan, joined in to celebrate his first birthday with a sweet message for the baby boy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote a comment under an Instagram post on Kensington Palace's account. Responding to the adorable pictures of Prince Louis which were taken by Kate, Meghan and Prince Harry said through their joint account, "Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from both of us. xo." The soon-to-be parents also added an emoji of birthday cake and a balloon.
