AceShowbiz - Things are not smooth sailing for Joe Giudice. The husband of Teresa Giudice has learned the harsh truth that the Board of Immigration Appeals dismissed his deportation appeal on April 11.
Following the dismissal, the Giudice family has shared their response through a statement by their attorney, James J. Leonard. "We are extremely disappointed that the Board Of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice's appeal," the Thursday, April 18 statement read.
"We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court Of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters," the statement continued.
Meanwhile, a source claims to Radar Online that Joe's family is putting the blame for the dismisall on Teresa. "Joe's family feels like Teresa should have taken the girls and cried in front of the judge," says the source.
"They think that she could have had some influence over the decision, " continues the source. "How could a judge rule against all of the girls and the mom, a real American family?"
"They couldn’t believe that she could go on vacation all over the place, and with that young guy, but not go and support Joe. It broke their hearts," the source adds.
The former "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star was released from federal prison on March 14 after serving 41-month prison sentence for fraud charges. The 46-year-old is currently being held at an ICE facility in western Pennslyvania.
An immigration court ruled back in October 2018 that he would have to return to his native Italy. Meanwhile, a final deportation date has yet to be revealed.
Joe and Teresa got married in 1999 and share four daughters together, Gia (17), Gabriella (14), Milania (13) and Audrina (9). Teresa has hinted that she wouldn't be moving to Italy if Joe is deported. "I mean, unless my kids say, 'Mommy, I want to move to Italy.' But Gia's going to college next year. I haven't spoken to Milania or Audriana about it. We haven't gotten there yet," she explained to Andy Cohen during the "RHONJ" reunion in March.
"And Gabriella already voiced her opinion to me. She's like, 'That would be so hard for me, Mommy.' She doesn't speak the language," she added. "She's like, 'That would kill me even more.' You know, it's like starting a whole new life, and they've been through so much already."
