After surprising girlfriend Lexy Kadey at the 2019 Country Thunder festival, Austin Burke offers his gratitude to the 'Come a Little Closer' hitmaker for 'making this the ultimate proposal.'

AceShowbiz - Dierks Bentley gave an aspiring country singer a big boost romantically on Saturday night, April 13, when he allowed him to take the stage at his gig in Arizona to propose.

Austin Burke's girlfriend Lexy Kadey was stunned when her man was invited up onstage to sing with Dierks at the 2019 Country Thunder festival in Florence - but the big surprise was to come.

After singing a duet of Bentley's "Come a Little Closer", Burke asked Kadey to join him and as she took the stage, he got down on one knee and said, "Not only are you my best friend, but you're the love of my life."

The then popped the question and Kadey quickly agreed to marry him.

Burke took to Instagram after the gig to thank Bentley and festival bosses for helping him make his proposal extra special.

"@lexkadey, thank you for saying yes in my Home State in front of all of our family and friends. Thank you @dierksbentley for making this the ultimate proposal and for filming the whole thing!" he wrote alongside a photo of himself down on one knee, holding up a ring to his thrilled fiancee. "@countrythunder, you made this a night we both will never forget!"

The aspiring country star released a song called "Slower" last year (18), which he dedicated to his girlfriend.
