News of a sequel being in the works are buzzing a little over a year after the 2018 reboot saw the 'Tulip Fever' actress taking over the Lara Croft role from Angelina Jolie.

AceShowbiz - Alicia Vikander's "Tomb Raider" sequel has officially landed a screenwriter.
The Oscar-winning actress, who played Lara Croft in 2018's reboot, is set to reprise her role as the tough adventurer in a new movie to be penned by "Free Fire" screenwriter Amy Jump, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The reboot, which was directed by Roar Uthaug and written by "Captain Marvel"'s Geneva Robertson-Dworet, earned more than $270 million at the global box office.
