During an appearance on 'Live with Kelly and Ryan', the Brienne of Tarth depicter on 'Game of Thrones' dishes on her upcoming project that will turn a classic play into a contemporary one.

AceShowbiz - "Game of Thrones" star Gwendoline Christie will follow up the fantasy series by playing the queen of the fairies in a gender-bending take on William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

The actress has signed on to play Titania in Nicholas Hytner's new production, in which her character and King Oberon switch dialogue.

"They have swapped the parts, so I play Titania with Oberon's lines, meaning that Titania is in charge of the forest," she tells "Live with Kelly & Ryan".

"It's about taking a classic play but making it contemporary, in that it's allowing opportunities and parts of great depth and multi-layers for women as well."

The final season of "Game of Thrones", in which Gwendoline stars as Brienne of Tarth, debuts on Sunday night, April 14.
