AceShowbiz - Most people usually install security cameras to catch uninvited guests at their home, but that is not the case for Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers. In a recent episode of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", the 48-year-old actress revealed that they had installed security cameras outside their home in order to stop daughter Sami from going out to meet boys without her permission.

"Sami's getting into high school and new school, new boys," Denise said of her 15-year-old daughter, admitting that she used to that herself when she was at her age. "That's when kids usually start sneaking out. I started sneaking out when I was 15 years old, so I know my kid's going to sneak out. So I'm putting cameras up so I can catch her. … We'll be able to see people sneak out or sneak in."

Her move obviously was not something that Sami appreciated. Rather, she was furious about it. "She's so mad about this," Denise continued. "But whatever. At least we're honest! I could have hid these."

In addition to getting security cameras to keep tabs on her daughter, Denise previously revealed that she actually banned her from dating until she's 16 years old. "My mom and dad were strict with me. I couldn't date until I was 16. So maybe I'm actually doing a disservice because I then went the opposite way!" she said at the time.

Sami is one of two daughters that Denise shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, whom she married for four years. The exes' other daughter is 13-year-old Lola. The two have since been co-parenting their two children without any problem, despite the actor's troubles over the years. When asked about her key to a successful co-parenting, she said, "Parents have to come together even if they don't want to be in the same room, for their kids."

"Suck it up because they didn't ask to be born into a family that splits and shouldn't have to deal with parents at each other's throats," she continued. "I'm not one where you bash your ex in front of your children. It's very disrespectful to the kids."

Besides Sami and Lola, the "Wild Things" star has a 7-year-old daughter named Eloise, whom she adopted in 2011.
