AceShowbiz - Walt Disney Studios has dropped the first full trailer for "The Lion King (2019)", giving a look at a grown-up Simba and several other characters from the iconic animated movie. The video opens with young Simba (JD McCrary) coming face to face with his uncle Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and his pack of hyenas.

"Life's not fair, is it my little friend?" Scar tells Simba in the video. "While some are born to feast, others spend their lives in the dark, begging for scraps." Mufasa (James Earl Jones) shares his wisdom about living in balance and being a true king.

The trailer recreates scenes from the original movie, including Mufasa showing Simba their kingdom and Simba exploring the wild life around him. The video shows Simba and his friends, Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen), growing up together, as his treacherous uncle Scar prepares to claim the right to the throne.

While most part of the trailer looks so serious for a family movie, the last few seconds offer a glimpse of a gleeful moment as Timon and Pumba are seen walking through the jungle while serenading one of the iconic songs, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

From director Jon Favreau, the all-new "The Lion King" journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother-and former heir to the throne-has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The all-star cast also includes Donald Glover as grown-up Simba, Beyonce Knowles as Nala, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, John Kani as Rafiki, John Oliver as Zazu, and Florence Kasumba, Eric Andre as well as Keegan-Michael Key as Shenzi, Azizi and Kamari, three spotted hyenas and Scar's henchmen.

The live-action film will head into theaters across the nation on July 19.
