The new movie, which will follow the life of an assistant for the disgraced movie producer, also has former 'Gotham' actress Makenzie Leigh joining the cast ensemble.

AceShowbiz - Matthew Macfadyen and Makenzie Leigh have joined Julia Garner in a new drama about life as an assistant for disgraced movie boss Harvey Weinstein.

Garner has already started work on the film, in which she plays one of the producer's staffers. Brit Macfadyen will play a human resources executive, and Leigh will play an actress auditioning for a film role.

Noah Robbins, Dagmara Dominczyk, and Purva Bedi will also appear in the film.

Weinstein stepped down as a board member at his own film company following the publication of two exposes, which detailed decades of alleged sexual abuse and misconduct. He has since been accused of assaulting or harassing over 80 women.

Weinstein is currently awaiting the start of a sexual abuse trial after the disgraced movie mogul's attorneys requested additional time.

He will face charges he forcibly performed oral sex on production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raped another woman a hotel in 2013.

The producer maintains he has never had non-consensual sex.
