According to NYPD's Special Victims Unit, one of his two accusers claims that the top illusionist hypnotized her into performing a sex act on him in 1997.

AceShowbiz - Top illusionist David Blaine has refuted allegations of sexual assault following the launch of a New York Police Department investigation.

On Monday, April 01, it emerged that officials at the NYPD's Special Victims Unit had taken statements from two women, with one claiming Blaine had hypnotised her into performing a sex act on him in 1997.

The other alleged victim told authorities he assaulted her in his Manhattan apartment on New Year's Day 1998.

Cops have yet to file any charges against 45-year-old Blaine, but he has now issued a statement denying the accusations, making it clear he will help with the police probe however he can.

"David denies the accusations that have been reported and he takes these allegations seriously," his spokeswoman Jill Fritzo tells the New York Post.

"He intends to cooperate with any investigation".

Blaine previously hit headlines in 2016 after former model Natasha Prince accused him of raping her in London back in 2004.

He denied the claim, insisting the sex was consensual, and after an initial investigation, Scotland Yard detectives declined to take further action.
