Breaking her silence on the backlash surrounding Ja Rule's disastrous music festival, the older sister of Kylie Jenner insists she does 'as much research as she can' before agreeing to endorse events.

AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner has opened up about her "risky" decision to promote the ill-fated Fyre Festival in a reflective interview with The New York Times.
The supermodel was hired to advertise the disastrous music festival, which was organised by Ja Rule and technology entrepreneur Billy McFarland, and was due to take place on the Exuma Cays, Bahamas, in April, 2017.
The reality star appeared in a promotional video alongside models Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski, and also publicised the event on her social media pages.
Addressing the controversy, the 23-year-old suggested that there's always a risk involved with promoting events when they're still in the planning stage.
"You get reached out to by people to, whether it be to promote or help or whatever, and you never know how these things are going to turn out," she said, adding that, "Sometimes it's a risk."
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star went on to confess that, while she always researches endorsements beforehand, she agreed to promote the event because she believed it was legitimate.
"I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn't much research you can do because it's a starting brand," the star admitted. "And you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the way people say it will."
Fyre Festival has been dubbed the scam of the century for charging attendees between $5,000 (£3,900) and $250,000 (£194,400) per ticket, boasting shows from acts like Major Lazer, Tyga, Pusha T, and Desiigner, only to be cancelled almost immediately after it opened.
It has since been the subject of two documentaries, and founder Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for fraud last October (18).
