The almost-three-minute clip features the blonde leader rapping to the hard-hitting intro track 'Persona'.

AceShowbiz - BTS (Bangtan Boys) is just days away from releasing their highly-anticipated album "Map of the Soul: Persona", so the South Korean group has naturally treated fans to a taste of what's to come in the upcoming effort. Kicking things off, they unveiled on Wednesday, March 27 local time a video trailer of RM (Rap Monster) rapping to the hard-hitting intro track "Persona".

The almost-three-minute clip features the blonde rapper showcasing his incredible flow over a beat that samples BTS' "Intro: Skool Luv Affair". RM rhymes about the group's growth and maturity since their debut, but still acknowledges that even in adulthood, many of their struggles with self-perception and identity persist.

"The 'me' that I want myself to be/ The 'me' that people want me to be/ The 'me' that you love/ And the 'me' that I create," he raps on the track. "The 'me' that's smiling/ The 'me' that's sometimes in tears/ Vividly breathing each second and every moment even now/ Persona."

As for the visuals itself, RM is seen in a classroom covered in graffiti before he steps outside and finds himself surrounded by alien-like dancers. There is also a scene of the leader of BTS posing next to a huge computer generated version of himself.

"Persona" is likely inspired by Carl Jung's theories of psychology, in which "persona" in an archetype of the human mind that deals with public image, or who we present ourselves to the world.

"Map of the Soul: Persona" is set to hit the stores on April 12. Even though the effort has yet to be released, it's already breaking records after reaching more than 65,000 pre-order copies in its first 26 hours. It surpassed the previous record which was held by their "Love Yourself: Answer" album, which sold 27,000 pre-order copies in 24 hours.

Following the release of the album, BTS will make their debut on "Saturday Night Live" as the musical guest for its April 13 episode. Emma Stone will host the episode.
