Finding an opportunity to fund his dream to go to Yale by being an escort, Centineo's character gets lost in the characters that he creates for his dates.

AceShowbiz - Noah Centineo could be anyone's date in the first trailer for new Netflix movie "The Perfect Date". Making its way out online, the video follows his character Brooks Rattigan, who dreams of dating the most popular girl, driving the nicest car and going to the fanciest school, but he couldn't afford them.

When a chance comes to him to make money and drive a fancy car by accompanying a girl to a school dance, he wouldn't miss it. Brooks then poses as the boyfriend of Celia Liberman (Laura Marano). After a successful first stint, Brooks finds an opportunity to fund his dream to go to Yale by offering his service to girls who hire him for a stand-in date.

While maintaining his friendship with Celia, Brooks creates different personas to meet the desire of his dates. As romantic relationship blossoms, Brooks gets lost in the characters he creates and has to find out who he really is and what he wants.

According to the official description of the movie, "Brooks Rattigan has the academic chops to get into his dream Ivy League school, but what he's missing is an outstanding extracurricular - and the money. When he seizes on an opportunity to make some extra cash by posing as the boyfriend of a self-assured, combat boot-loving girl named Celia Lieberman, he finds he has a knack for being the perfect stand-in. Together with his programmer friend Murph (Odiseas Georgiadis), Brooks launches an app selling himself as a plus-one for all occasions. Along the way, he meets the girl of his dreams (Camila Mendes). But when business starts to boom, Brooks must reassess everything he was once sure of."

Centineo also explained the movie in April last year. "It's about a young man who's very enterprising and comes from a low income household, and decides to create an app that allows anyone to hire him for a stand-in date," he said to IndieWire. "He does this in the hopes of making enough money to get into his dream college, and then hopefully learn who he is in the process."

The 22-year-old hunk of "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" fame also shared about playing various characters in the upcoming movie, "It's cool. You become different people on different days. For an actor, it was really fun."

Directed by Chris Nelson, the romantic comedy film is written by Steve Bloom and Randall Green based on the novel "The Stand-In" by Bloom. It is set to be released on Netflix on April 12.
