Five months after her daughter's birth, the 'Younger' star looks back to the touching moment when she first met and hugged her newborn baby after a water birth at her home.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff has shared an intimate video of her home delivery of her daughter Banks Violet. The former Disney Channel star posted on Instagram, on Monday, March 25, a black-and-white clip of her first moments with the newborn baby post-the home water birth.
In a very emotional moment, the 31-year-old was seen cradling the infant while she was still in the birthing pool. The little girl was seen opening her arms and reaching out for her mom to give Hillary a hug on the neck, while her father and Hillary's partner Matthew Koma was leaning in on the side of the tub.
Reflecting on the touching moments, the "Younger" star wrote in the caption, "I've been wondering for a long time if I would ever share this video as it is extremely personal.... it was so absolutely lovely and rewarding(and shocking) that after giving birth to my baby girl we hugged ...for the first time, In my mind I like to believe that she was saying good job mom. Go team go. We did it. Together."
She went on crediting those who were there to offer her moral support during the childbirth. "Matt provided such a safe calm strength, my mommy and sissy were there to cheer me on, and of course my birth angels to make sure all was well and big brother (downstairs deep in legos)," she continued.
The actress/singer added, "I cannot believe this day was only 5 months ago!! It seems like B has been here with us all along. The time is already going so fast..she tried avocado yesterday! Anyway... feeling blessed for this full hectic life and all the people in it."
Hilary welcomed Banks Violet, her first child together with Matthew, in October 2018 at her Los Angeles home. The baby girl joins big brother Luca Cruz Comrie, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
