After the ceremony, the 'This Is Us' actress takes to social media to thank her 'A Walk to Remember' co-star for his sweet speech wherein he gushes, 'I couldn't be more proud of you.'

AceShowbiz - Shane West and "This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman saluted Mandy Moore as she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, March 25.

The actress and singer's "This Is Us" castmates also joined the TV mum and her new husband Taylor Goldsmith at the ceremony.

Moore invited her "A Walk to Remember" co-star Shane to be part of the proceedings and last week he admitted he was nervous: "It's slightly intimidating," he said.

Shane gave his old friend a special gift during the ceremony - a photo of the two of them from the set of their 2002 film.

"We could not have been more opposite when we met," West began his speech on Monday afternoon. "I was busy wearing ill-advised clothes and having dubious hair choices and eye-liner in my garage punk band... and you were killing it on the pop star scene... I was trying to get you to listen to The Clash and the Ramones. You were not interested but you were very sweet about it. You stuck to your Fleetwood Mac, always Fleetwood Mac."

"Not only was this film a wonderful experience in every way, it also gave me the chance to fall for this fantastic woman. Your energy is irresistible and your heart is second to none. I always knew you were incredibly talented and I always knew you were going to go on to do big things and amazing things, and you have... I couldn't be more proud of you. I couldn't be more happy for you."

Mandy was glad West could make it, taking to Instagram after the ceremony and writing: "Thankful to @theshanewest for his kind words on this very special day, one which I will never forget. It was a walk (of fame) to remember."
