AceShowbiz - Dame Joan Collins has confessed the she was left needing hospital treatment after injuring herself while working out.

The "Dynasty" actress made the revelation during a recent cover interview for Tatler magazine's May issue.

While the star suggested that she is in the "best shape of (her) life," she candidly recounted that a recent accident on a pilates reformer workout machine that left her in need of hospital treatment.

"I woke up just screaming in agony in the middle of the night and I was rushed to hospital," she recalled. "It was worse than childbirth, but it was just a pulled muscle."

The 85-year-old also revealed that she didn't tell anyone about the health scare at the time because she didn't want to subject herself to the media attention.

"I didn't let anybody know," she confessed. "I wasn't trying to be secretive, but if people find out you're in the hospital, the next thing you know it's news."

The "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" star credits her love of pilates for her toned physique, and she went on to gush over supermodel Naomi Campbell's as having one of the best figures she's seen.

"I think she has possibly the best body of anybody I've ever seen," she enthused. "It's amazing, really fantastic!"
